Born in 1962, Fell has been expressing herself through art for many years. She studied interior design and practiced color, theory and pastel with several Denver artists. Fell began working toward a career in interior design in 1984, before diverting into fine art in 1985.
As someone who has always been captivated by the West, Fell uses the high country as a source of inspiration. Her art does not attempt to depict a western lifestyle, but rather an illusion of the cowboy life and the spirit of the west. Fell's self-discovered technique has continually led her to choose cowboys as her favorite subject, which can be seen through mixed media images on both paper and canvas. Fell's cowboys are not conveyed in a traditional style, rather in vibrant colors and fluid forms. Through her art, viewers find a unique West; a place of change with an attitude of boldness.
